200 Daily Posts In A Row!
Wow! Can you believe it?
Thank you, thank you, regular readers!
I so appreciate you checking out my posts! I know many are tedious, I know there are a gazillion typos, a lot of poor grammar, and worse than all that: a lot of navel-staring going on. That's not even mentioning all those nonsensical posts I wrote in my sleep. I hope, in spite of all of that, you can find a couple of nuggets of whimsy or entertainment in there from time to time.
I Know You're Out There...I Can Hear You Clicking
I don't understand much of anything from the Google Analytics blog stats. It seems like they mostly pick up on my own clicks. Occasionally they'll get excited to report some band-of-bots in Turkmenistan or somewhere. Mostly, it's a lot of useless graphs and charts. Now Google feedburner, on the other hand, has stats I can understand. They are stats about the wonderful few of you who have subscribed to the blog. I have no idea who clicks when or on what...but I do get a percentage of the total subscribers that are actually opening emails from time to time. I'm honored that the stats are so high. (If you click...and immediately delete...please don't set me straight on this point. Let me enjoy my fantasy.)
To anyone who is clicking and reading: Thank you, thank you, thank you, for sticking in here with me!
Also thank you: PIP-Person in Portugal. The only consistent thing I see from the Google Analytics is a regular click from a person somewhere in Portugal. If I find out you are some sort of uni-bot, I will be sad, because I really like to think of you 'out there, somewhere'. Obrigado!
Just as a reminder: I'm bad about editing before I post. (I hope you're feigning shock and surprise right now.). Still, I do sometimes go back and change the more obvious mistakes. If you're reading something a few days after posting, it might be better to read online. The mistakes stay in the email fooorrreevvver. (Which I hate).
I was going to write a piece after a quick note about the Bicentennial Post...but it's getting late in the day and I'd really like to go have a celebratory happy hour with Michael.
