Captain Obvious ( Or: How I Have to Get Hit in the Head By New Information)

My Life Lessons really need to be very clear.  If only Life would invest in some Skywriting planes, or someone to artfully tag large walls that I will pass regularly with little hints like:

YO!  SUSAN!

PAY ATTENTION!

THIS IS A LESSON YOU MUST LEARN:

 ...and then spell it out.

And I mean really spell it out.

I'm such a self-improvement junkie I would totally listen.  It's just that I need very specific marching orders.

Here are a few of the valuable tidbits I'm finally catching onto:

-Planning my time makes life easier.
  -Exercise is a good idea
-Eating well makes me feel well.
-People can't read my mind.  (I HATE this one!  People...I'm thinking stuff real LOUD at you...pay attention.)
-Everyone else is as busy with the chatter in their own heads as I am.  (Oh...yeah...forgot that one again.)
-What I wear affects how I feel.
-Planning meals leads to making better choices.
-Getting control of my mind and impulses is helpful to my relationships.
-The way you breathe has a dramatic effect on the way you feel.
-Emotions come and go, they are not a good guide for running your life.  (Really wish I'd learned that one earlier.)

I'm adding to this regularly.  I figure by the time I'm a hundred I'll really have a handle on this life thing.  But really, Life...you could throw me a bone here and I'd move a lot faster.  (Thanks in advance for your help.)

  2. I could have sworn I responded to this. I think messages from my phone get eaten.

Thanks so much for the birthday wishes, and the kind words about my rambling, I mean my blog! I appreciate you checking it out, Kim!

I don't go to Facebook very often these days, but I'm coming here a lot lately. I hope to see you here!

    Happy Wednesday!
