February 22, 2020 - 162 - "Lady of Leisure/Bath Time!"

Lavender bath bomb-Check!  Yummy tea-Check!  (Cynthia:
I got a sampler of that Ahmad tea like you sent me.  :-)
The Peach-Passionfruit is also very nice.)

Baths = Goodness!

     I don't know if I've ever shared just how much I really, really, really, enjoy baths.  It is the ultimate form of relaxation for me.  Maybe it's because I'm a Water Sign?  Perhaps I spent a previous life in Atlantas?  As a mermaid?  Or maybe it's because being in the bath is sort of the ultimate 'Do Not Disturb' moment.

   There's the expansive feeling of time alone to think your own thoughts and decompress.  Plus warm water.  Plus nice smelling soaps, bubbles, scrubs, and masks.  Plus some nice music.  Plus a little bit of red wine...

   What's not to like?

time to go back home to Texas.
It's a good sign when you're in the bath long
enough to have to change beverages! (I started
with hot tea...then Michael brought me a glass
of wine.)

I Should Do This More Often

      What's strange is how little time I spend enjoying this pleasure these days.  It seems like I used to have near-permanently shriveled toes.  I used to grab any moment possible to get in the bath.  I went through bubble bath faster than toothpaste.

Too Busy Being Busy

    I suspect the two major culprits:  1) The Mexican Casa project, and 2) My obsession with habits.

    Re-doing the house in Mexico has made me squash my work trips closer together, then rush down to Mexico on my time off to help move things along.  And trying to get in a work out, writing, meditating, etc. etc. etc. in between the rest of life makes time feel very scarce.

Here's someone who's not into baths.  When I'm in the bath
she skulks around complaining about her sworn enemy:
water.
    Today was spent getting unpacked and getting the house set up again.  (Post Phase II of the project.)  Our friends, and the former owners of the house, are coming over tonight for The Big Reveal.   (Squeee!  They haven't seen it since we bought it and we're excited to show them the changes we've made.)

     But around 4 o'clock I realized everything was done (as much as it's getting done...houses are, of course, eternal works in progress) and I had 2 and a half hours (2 1/1 HOURS!!!) that I could use to get ready...and just enjoy the incredible new bath we created.

     * Sigh *

...oh yeah...and get my blog post done for the day.  lol

*I've got to know more about this guy!
He's a saint.  Literally.  And really enjoys a good bath. And wine!  What a guy.  (Bathliness is next to Saintliness?)
Cool!
