Now I'm a bit past the two month mark! (Cool!)
I didn't think I'd have anything to say after the first few days but the funny thing is: the more I write, the more I have to write.
Maybe I keep my eyes open looking for inspiration more than I used to? Maybe I take better notes on things that strike me as interesting or funny or inspiring? Or maybe I just sit down every day and make it happen?
Whatever it is, I've been really pleased that the ideas keep flowing.
I can't say that I've become the brilliant, error-free, writer I've always wanted to be...but maybe that wasn't actually what I wanted to begin with.
What I really wanted to be was someone who writes regularly. What I really wanted was to set a challenge and see if I could do it.
And between a full time job, vacations, family gatherings, doctor's appointment, getting in my exercise time, serving as a cat bed, doing laundry, packing, unpacking, packing, unpacking..., helping to restore a house in Mexico, paying bills, buying groceries, and binge-watching "The Kominsky Method", by golly:
I've done the thing I've always said I want to do:
I'm writing!!
Can you tell that I feel really proud of myself?
---
However...
The reason I came across this today is because I had a massive lack of inspiration and was searching wildly for something (anything) to talk about.
So...my self-congratulations got served up with a heaping helping of humble pie.
But that's okay because
a) I did find something and got the post done anyhow, and
b) I just love pie. (lol)

P.S. Did someone say pie?
