October 2, 2019 - 19 - "I've Got Mail!: Fan Mail!"

Inspiring and beautiful art, by the inspiring and beautiful, Cynthia Stroo
My day yesterday:
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  Wait, I think that's been said before.

Anyway, the best of times part:
-I woke up with Michael (Oh so lucky for this, a fact I am infinitely grateful for every single time it happens.)
-Michael brought me coffee.  In bed!  (Ditto on the daily gratitude score.)
-Progress was happening on our casa.  (Really, really, good as we're having a big family shindig there not too far in the future.)

The worst of times part:
-Had to leave the project, the house, the magical city of San Miguel, and Michael.  😢
-Long journey home, with standard-issue, and a few outside-the-norm travel hassles.  (I am eternally grateful also for our flight benefits, but it makes us do dumb things.  Like back-up fun trips and work trips with little time in between.)

So, I get home.  Road weary, missing Michael, stressed about getting myself (my uniforms, my bags,...) unpacked and repacked to go back to work

I'm simultaneously thrilled to see Ella...and already sorry I won't have more time with her.  And I'm vaguely thinking that I commit to too darn much stuff.  Like crazy writing schedules I need to fit in between everything else.  Wah, wah, wah...

---

     And then! ...
I start sorting through the pile of mail, and I get this beautiful work of art, from a beautiful artistic friend.  And I am reassured that 'I'm right on schedule.'  And it makes me feel nothing but Lucky Lucky Lucky for every stinkin' thing in the entire universe!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!  I already have some 'Cynthia quotes' in my Writing Inspiration folder, for when I have that 'Why'mIdoingthis?' feeling, and your art in my office to look at and feel inspired by.

Thank you, Cynthia, for being your artistic, fabulous, uplifting, self!
The world is a better place because you are here.

P.S.  Thanks for the tea!  You quench all sorts of thirst.

P.P.S.  Wow!  The popsicle stamp really was Scratch and Sniff!  It takes you to discover such a cool thing.

P.P.P.S.  I was trying to photograph your art, but Ella was trying to get some lovin' and attention.  So she took up residence on your letter.

P.P.P.S.  Thank you.  Thank you.  Thank you!

P.P.P.P.S.  How cool that your cool lady has a butterfly over her heart?!  I just wrote a post about transformation using the butterfly as a symbol of change and growth.  You sure are tuned-in, Ms. Stroo!

P.P.P.P.....S.  And I promise this is the last...maybe:  I thought the website ate my subscriber list.  I thought I was, basically, talking to myself, and Michael.

Did it just start emailing you, or did you see the site and re-subscribe?
