Small Wardrobe Change Equals Big Hassles

We had a new uniform launch on March 3rd.  Since I was on vacation I didn't wear it until a few days ago.

Seems like no big deal...just a new outfit to wear to work.  What difference does it make?

    But it changes everything.

Like:   where you keep your work tablet and cell phone.  Where you keep extra headsets for passengers.  Where you put extra outerwear (sweater or jacket) on the plane when you're not wearing it.  Even where I keep my van driver tip money.  (I've been keeping it in a tiny inner pocket in my blazer, that I always wore with the old uniform...but now I wear the sweater with the dress...and the sweater doesn't have an inner pocket.

Sounds like small stuff...until you have someone ask you for things you need to quickly access...and you have no idea where they are.

Mama's Got a Brand New Bag

As if that weren't enough:  I didn't want to drag around my sad/ripping-at-the-seams old luggage with my snazzy new uniform, so I ordered new bags.

The cool news is:  We now have the option of the four-wheel roll-any-direction roll aboard bags.

The bad news is:  I need a chair and a whip to control the damn thing.  Once I attached my small tote to it, and my lunch tote to the handle, every time I try to stop, or place it to the side...the thing falls over, or rolls away.  (Hard to maintain an air of cool and chic when you're wresting with your bags like they're an obstreperous crocodile.)

Got the New, but Still Working on the Improved

Hopefully, with time, tweaks, and a lot of patience, I'll develop a level of comfort with this latest transition.
