June 18, 2020 - 279 - "Trophy Room"

When We Went on Safari...

I was about to doze off on the couch this afternoon and suddenly noticed something disturbing: the whole room is filled with lifeless animals.

Two trophies hang on the wall. They came from our safari.

Ya know, or safari to the far off lands of: World Market.   We haven't really been on any safaris (not safaris I remember anyhow.)

There's a paper mache newspaper rhinoceros (Rodney).

     And a twisty-corded elephant (nameless).

Then there's a sitting duck.  (Also nameless.)

There's also a fish, a cat, another elephant...and a beaded creature that looks a little like a Trojan horse, and a little like a long-legged dog.  (All of these are also nameless.)

I'm not sure why this menagerie has evolved, but I'm glad it has.

...mainly because it gave me something to post about when I was feeling completely idea-less.

I do really like this room.  Maybe it's the cozy lighting, or the comfy furniture...or perhaps it's being surrounded by all of our little, nameless creature friends...and Rodney the rhinoceros.
