Canceled Until Further Notice
The whole world is in varying degrees of being shut-down.
Corona, of course, is the culprit for most of it. But it' starting to go beyond 'just' that.
Mom's Out of Commission
My mom is now in the in-patient rehab center. (No - she isn't in for some kind of Hollywood-Diva Detoxing. She's recovering from falling and breaking her leg.)
My dad is not in the best of health right now, and I'm getting the chance to appreciate all the things my mother does.

Holy Moly. Let me just say: I am failing miserably at taking up the slack.
Construction Standstill
We get updates from friends there, and most things are shut down. We were surprised to still get progress reports about the last of the work getting done on the house.
But the photo this week was only of this sign. (Meaning construction has been closed down by the city.). We don't know why. We have the permisos (permits). It could be there was a noise complaint from neighbors. It could be they didn't haul debris away at the right time...
Our property manager is making calls to find out the problem.
It's not like we're going down any time soon. But somehow those progress reports made us feel like something was still moving forward in the world.
My Car Air Conditioner Shut Down
I know these last two are not a big deal compared to the first two items on the list.
Still,s frequent drives to Wise County become much more challenging when I either have to borrow Michael's car...or melt.
Luckily, car repair shops are open here, so I was able to put that in the shop today and they don't think it will take long.
Personal Shut Down
I'm tired and haven't been sleeping well.
My first thought this morning was: I can't wait 'til bedtime!
For the last two days, I feel like I am, personally, shutting down. Not sure if it's driving a hot car, worry, generally feeling over-extended, or what. (I've checked my temperature 103 times in two days...I don't think that's it.) That really can not happen right now, for my parent's sake.

-Mom's on the mend
-I am on leave and am not flying off to Timbuktu every few days in the middle of all of this
-The nurses at the hospital mom was in, and now the rehab center are still bravely doing their jobs and taking care of her
-Mom and Dad are both staying upbeat
-My car's getting fixed
-This, too, shall pass
