May 6, 2020 - 236 - "A Tale of Two Closets"

Empty Promises

Several weeks ago, I shared my spring closet clear-out, and said I'd give you an update when it all got done.

I forgot all about it until today when I got desperate for a post when I remembered how much I want to keep my promises to you, dear reader.

From Terrible to Tidy...Finally

The last time I shared anything about our guest bedroom, it looked like this.  (I just cleared out everything from downstairs that I wouldn't need for the summertime/pandemic time.)

Stuffed Full of Stuff

I seem to have less clothing every time I go through this purging and reorganizing process.   This, in no way, means that I'm some kind of a minimalist.  (But you can see that with your own eyes.)

So many clothes came out of the closet downstairs that I wasn't sure how it was going to fit in the smaller closet upstairs.

    But it worked.

I wouldn't want to try to wrestle a sweater out of the middle of those piles.  Nor would I want to look for a specific scarf in one of the bins.  Still...it's in there.

Good News for Guests

A guest could actually stay in this room again!

There is even room for guests to hang a few things in the armoire.

Oh Wait - Now Less Space for Guests

Of course, that was before I decided I probably wasn't going to wear those golf practice clothes any time soon.

More Space For My Everyday Life

But the number of items I have to deal with on a daily basis was reduced yet again.  Less and less decision fatigue in my day.

    I think it's a good trade-off.  I doubt we'll have guests anytime soon.
