April 12, 2020 - 212 - "Time Capsules"

---

Goin' Through Some Changes

Things are happening so fast lately it feels like we're building time capsules for the future all the time.

But we don't have to wait a hundred years to dig them up and examine the strange relics inside.  A day or two later will do.

-I read a post from last week and noticed how much more information we have about Covid now than even a week ago.  How much more has been effected...

-I saw the picture of John Prine that I came across a few days before it was announced he had the virus and think:  "I saw that before I knew he was going to die of this.”

-I saw a text with a coworker from ten days ago and can't believe the complete 180 that's happened with my knowledge and attitude toward flying during this pandemic.

-A photo from 5 weeks ago shows a happy group of people gathered around a table.  And here's what's crazy about it:   They're not all family!  The table is at a restaurant!  Someone has an arm flung over their friend's shoulder!!!...

Human touch didn't look like the act of aggression it seems like now.

It all makes me wonder:  When will it be okay to hug a friend again?  Or even family members without possibly passing on germs?
