Adjusting My Mania For Habits

I have so many daily habits it’s gotten to where I have to get up early and work all day to get them all done.  It feels good to keep my habit streaks going…but it's just so DAILY.

Change of Pace

The other day Michael made pancakes.  Since he cooked, I cleaned up.  The griddle on our old stove, naturally, needed some real attention afterwards.  I started scrubbing away at it and got it back to its normal sparkling state.  (As sparkling as it can be for a nearly 80 year old stove...which is remarkably good, actually.)

One and Done

That small win gave me a taste for getting something done that I wouldn't need to do the next day...and the next...and the day after that.

I'd been meaning to clear out the beds on the west side of our house...for about a year.

It looked like it might rain, which gave me an extra nudge.  The chance that I might get rained out was kind of pleasant.

In the end I made great progress on the project.  At least enough that our handyman can come and work on some boards that need replacing and actually be able to get to them.

Obvious Accomplishment

It was great to be outside and dig in the dirt, get tired (like reaaallly tired), and see the results right away.

Do you have any projects like that?  Gotten any done?  It sure feels good!
