(The bad news: I didn't eat many servings of fresh fruits and vegetables. The good news: (for weight anyway). I didn't eat much of anything. No fridge. Lots to do. Eating sort of lost priority this week.
Dressed in Real Clothes: 7 days
Weekend Observed: 4:30 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. on Monday.
Wins for the Week:
-Actually got my writing done on Saturday and didn't work again until mid-morning Monday
-Got all ready to go to Mexico-with cat-with housewares, clothes...
-It was pretty low-stress as far as packing and traveling. Maybe this is a trend.
-Got a system set up to run a projector on the rooftop for outdoor movies. (Potentially fun social-distance evening with a few friends.)
-Got set up in Mexico.
-Got a fridge, got it installed, including an ice maker. Something we've never had here because we never had filtered water from the lines before. Score!
-Some fun evenings on the rooftop.
-Lots of progress on the house
-A plumbing leak was repaired.
-Problem found and fixed for outdoor faucets.
-Old chimney completely removed from the casita bedroom. Floor repair done.
-Rooftop floor work about a third of the way done.
-Walls skimmed on upper rooftop
-Reasonable quote for woodwork projects from Roberto
-Lines repair and toilet put back in the back bedroom.
-Picked up our stuff from Ralph's
-Got a few groceries by Thursday and cooked at home.
-Glass installed in skylights in casita bedroom
-Alejandro brought the door to the rooftop storage closet.
- Did my first Preply Spanish tutoring session with Jelisa, and she's excellent!
-Outdoor faucets that weren't working repaired
-Ordered groceries from La Comer-now can eat at home most of the time.
Could Use Improvement:
I feel pretty great about what we accomplished this week (especially now I see it all written out - and I think I've left some things off.).
The main thing is I'm moving forward, even on the most chaotic-feeling weeks.
But I felt super-disorganized and confused this week,
I would like to get back to:
-Eating better
-Doing my morning check-ins
-doing all my writing challenges
-taking time to make a plan every day instead of just reacting
