August 2, 2020 - 324 - Leave of Absence Weekly Check-In: Week 17"



Week 17:  

(It occurs to me I'm gonna be at week 55 gajillion before this pandemic/leave/craziness is all said and done.)

Habit Stats:    (Saturday, July 25, to Friday, July 31, on all stats except Exercise-app,  goes Monday-Sunday)

Exercise:  Goals met  Sweat app with Kayla Itsines
                LISS-Low Intensity Steady State - (This has been all walking, but I changed it up this week)  1 walk outside, 1 golf practice on the driving range-2 hours
                                    1 walk/run on Treadmill
                 Resistance:  3 (Legs, Arms, Abs)
                 Challenge:  1 (Death By Push-Ups)
                 Rest Day:   2

Spanish:
    Duolingo Streak: 7 -  @ Day 173

Food:  
    Servings of fruit:  11
    Servings of veggies:  7
    Servings of sugar:  4,335 - Um, okay, not...but close:  7 servings of sugar
         Peach Cobbler with ice cream from Railhead BBQ
         Frozen Custard from Super Chix
         M & M's 
         Protein Bar
         2 Chocolate Mug Cakes (2 days in a row)...these mug cakes were dangerously delicious...and fast...and easy...and one of those 'have all the ingredients on hand' things...so, ya know:  Super-dangerous.   
     ...Then this weekend got really bad...but I'll confess to those sins next week.

Weight:   10.9 pounds above goal weight.  

      I have got to get off this sugar train I'm riding.  It's amazing how crappy I'm starting to feel after a week of bad food choices.  

     Even with meeting all my exercise goals...I just don't feel good:  Foggy-headed.  Less energy.  Less motivated.  Feeling less optimistic...  

     Why do I have to keep learning this lesson?  A little sugar really wouldn't be a problem...but a little sugar for me, always leads to a little more...  

      Then my mood feels lower, my clothes feel tighter, my head feels foggier...   Ugh!!!
    
Dressed in Real Clothes:   7 days 

Weekend Observed:   3 p.m. Saturday to 5 p.m. on Sunday.  

Wins for the Week:
     -Great progress photos from San Miguel
     -A fun Zoom chat virtual visit with friends
     -Decided on taking the next leave
     -Reset goals for the longer leave

Could Use Improvement: 
     -Clean up my diet!!
     -Get back on track with writing goals
     -Really, really, really, need to get back to having a full day off.

Daily Hits of Happy

     -Daughter-in-law, Nicole, trying out the Sweat workout.
     -Spending time outside...even into August!
     -2 SWEET notes from friends!  (In the mail!)
     -Managing to be proud of my normal workout, writing, and learning goals...in spite of a lot of turmoil and bad food choices.
