Just three, correction: five days away and I was really ready to get back home.
Staying Entertained
First off: Staying busy has never been a problem. At any given moment I can tell you about the 3-9 books I have going. Or I could share the 2-10 house projects I've been trying to get to, the language(s) I want to learn, the 300 things I want to write about, learn about, or think about. Then there's the top 20 places I want to go, and the new skills I want to practice...
I've always felt I wouldn't have enough time to get to all the things I want to do if I had 10 lifetimes.
Homebody
Then there's the fact that I absolutely crave time alone. I actually get energized by time at home. My point is: a lot of this covid isolation has been pure bliss for me.
Too Much of a Good Thing?
But, yeah, I'm just starting to realize something: Even introverts need some balance.
I might have a high tolerance for time alone...but it was always to balance out the extreme-interaction and stimulation my job, and life in general, gave me.
