Triple The Leave, Triple the Goal-Setting!
I'm not one to waste an opportunity to over-schedule and over-stress to challenge myself. I started my expanded leave of absence with a day of goal setting and planning.
I hadn't practiced golf since last year when I went through a couple of months of pretty regular practice. We got into the house renovation in Mexico, and then this pandemic came along, and I didn't pick up a club for about 8 months.
Our local driving range is open again. (Masks in the clubhouse...and social distancing outside.) And I thought: Hey: a golden opportunity. When will I have all this free time next? So I got back to that last night. So far all I have to show for my new effort is a new blister.
Oh, yeah, and also, I thought I'd double up on my efforts to learn Spanish.
...and then there are about a dozen other goals, mostly focused on writing funnier.
Just Need The Right Coach
If only I could find a funny, Spanish-speaking, golf coach, I'd be all set.
Turns out: Lee Trevino is just 80, and surely looking for something fun to do during this endless pandemic thing. (If any of y'all know him, please put in a good word for me.) I figure in 18 months he could have me speaking Spanish, playing golf, and laughing all the way through the experience.

Daily Hits of Happy
-Out daughter-in-law signed up for the Sweat app, the exercise program I've been doing for 203 weeks. I'm excited. (Misery does just love company.)
-Progress continues at our house in San Miguel.
